I apologize that it has been a while since I have posted anything. Part of that has been the busy holiday season we find ourselves in and part of that has been travel. My husband and I just returned from a trip to New York and if you ever get the chance to go during the holidays…do it! It is so beautiful and everything is decorated and looks wonderful. Here are some pictures from our trip of New York decorated for the holidays:
I absolutley LOVE these gigantic ornamanets! They are so much fun!
Radio City Music Hall Christmas Tree
The tree at Rockefeller Center
The ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center
A drummer boy at Rockefeller Center
Christmas wreaths fill the windows of this New York building.
Horse drawn carriages were in and around Central Park adding to the Christmas charm.
It was such a fun trip and I am so happy I got the chance to go and experience the city during the holidays. As I walked around the city and marveled at all of the decorations and the gigantic Christmas trees and wreaths in the lobbies of buildings it got me thinking that this is the one time of year that I love because everyone gets into decorating - even entire cities! It is obviously something I love to do year round, but I love to be able to share in that joy with others during the holidays. I also thought that without all of the decorations I think it would be really hard to get into the Christmas spirit. I think that shows that our mood and enjoyment of our space can be strongly tied to how it is decorated and designed. You don’t have to spend a lot to enjoy your space during the holidays, or any part of the year really, but having a well thought out and coordinated design plan can help you love your home and your use of it during the holidays and year round. I hope this holiday season your own Christmas decorations will get you in the Christmas spirit and allow you to feel a sense of nostalgia, tradition, love and that sense of ”home”.

Love this! Hey, you’re a pretty good photographer! What are you shooting with? Maybe if I ever get you for secret sister, we’ll have to buy you a fancy camera!
Thanks Paige! I have a Cannon point and shoot. It takes decent photos for being a point and shoot. :)
