MEET THE TEAM
"I knew from a young age that I was interested in interior design. As a girl I inherited my mothers old dollhouse and immediately began dusting off the cobwebs and fixing it up. Being resourceful I took old carpet samples that were laying around the house and cut them down to size to fit into my new dollhouse. I re-wallpapered the walls and made the perfect environment for my dolls. For me, making spaces beautiful and functional was a passion then, and still is today.
My passion for home design led me to Seattle Pacific University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design in 2008. This helped me to hone my eye for color and my talent for space planning. I am committed to making your home a more serene and functional place to live.
I believe our homes are an integral part of our lives. They provide us a space to rest, relax, and recharge on a day to day basis and they are where some of our best memories are made with family and friends. Our well-being depends on this peaceful rest and time with those we love when we’re not in the daily grind. My goal is to help you create a living space that you love being in; a retreat from the rest of the world. I will help you transform your house into a home; and I will add warmth and functionality to your living area, creating a space that you love and that is uniquely you".
"Like Kim, I also expressed a passion for interior design at an early age. From decorating my childhood bedroom to redesigning my parent's bonus room as a high school project - it was clear what my calling was. I received a bachelor's in business entrepreneurship from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and an associate's in interior design from the Art Institute of Seattle which have led me to fulfill my dream of becoming an interior designer. As the Junior Designer, I am eager to continue learning the industry, applying ideas to projects, and curating homes clients love".
Meet our newest addition, Bernadette, who will be interning with us for the summer:
"I am finishing my senior year at the University of Idaho, where I will receive a bachelor’s in Interior Design with a minor in Architecture. Last fall I studied abroad in Florence, Italy; where I traveled to ten different countries exploring brilliant cultures and architecture around every corner. That experience has only propelled my love of design and I am so excited to be working for Kimberlee Marie Interior Design this summer to continue to grow my knowledge and skills".
