Sammamish Traditional

When my clients purchased this house they knew they wanted to make big changes to the kitchen, master bath, and upstairs guest bath. We focused primarily on remodeling those spaces and also focused on updating the look of the family room that is adjacent to the kitchen.

My clients wanted their home to feel lighter, warmer, and more inviting then some of the previous finishes allowed for. The kitchen and living room had maple cabinetry with black granite countertops and matching fireplace surround. In both bathrooms they needed updating to bring them out of the mid 90's and to match the level of sophistication of the rest of the remodel.  By selecting white cabinetry for the kitchen, bathroom vanities and living room built-in we were able to achiever the lighter and more welcoming feel my clients hoped for. We focused on warm neutrals for the finishes and added more warmth by using natural stone elements that also added visual texture.

For the furniture plans we continued with the same mantra. We wanted a sophisticated look and choose neutral warm tones for the furnishings and accented the room with blue-green accessories and artwork to help bring some of the outdoors in, seen through the large picturesque windows in the family room.

The end result is a beautiful and timeless home my clients love and that reflects their style and taste. It is a space they are proud to entertain in and have their family gather for the holidays and is a space they will enjoy for years to come.
